A wonderful place steeped
in memories, culture, and beauty.
It was at Montecatini Terme, among tree-lined avenues, Art Nouveau salons, and rejuvenating waters, that the Gran Caffè Gambrinus found its soul.
A parlor open to the world
Established in one of the city’s most evocative spots, Gambrinus was more than a mere café: a parlor open to the world, a meeting point for artists, intellectuals, travelers, and dreamers.
Through its walls and within its very atmosphere have echoed the voices of Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, and the tenor Francesco Tamagno—unmistakable protagonists of an era defined by immortal melodies. And again, there are the reflections of Luigi Pirandello, the piercing words of Gabriele D’Annunzio, and the visionary thoughts of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti.
Over its decades of life, Gambrinus welcomed film directors, actors, and screen divas: from Vittorio De Sica to Ingrid Bergman, from Sophia Loren to Gary Cooper, including the noble laughter of Totò and the incredible allure of Audrey Hepburn.
Not only art and entertainment
Montecatini was also an inspired refuge for Rita Levi Montalcini, Maria Skłodowska Curie, and Guglielmo Marconi. Names inscribed in the annals of science, yet tied to this land.

The Gambrinus lives on this legacy
A time that cannot be forgotten, a present that knows how to safeguard the spirit of the past.
